Use Instagram to boost your business!

Instagram for your business: a hot topic of conversation and we are aware that this is important. In the near future, this will only increase with the advent of direct shopping.

But let’s be honest, managing an IG-account often takes us so much time (which we especially don’t have left over) and the results are sometimes left to our liking.

1-2-3 handy tips about Instagram:
1= Switch to Instagram Business
2= Hashtags
3= Content

  1. Set up an Instagram business account

    With an Instagram Business account you can find a ton of information such as the demographics of your followers, which medium scores best and at which times you post best. Knowing what’s going on among your audience, it gives you an important insight on what content you need to focus on.

    How to?
    Go to your profile and press the settings button.
    Under tab ACCOUNT you can switch to company profile

  2. Hashtags, do they really work? YEAH!

    Instagram is acting more and more like a search engine. More and more, customers use hashtags on social media to gather relevant addresses, outings & ideas. Encourage your customers to use the unique hashtag of your business. Instagram uses an algorithm to connect people with common interests. Your new customer can be directed to your page by a current fan.TIP: repetitive hashtags (THIS IS REALLY A LIFE HACK!)

    Use the same set of hashtags as often as possible. A lifehack not to spend endless time typing under each post:
    Go to General on your phone
    Go to keyboard
    Go to text replacement
    Press the + symbol
    Type all your regular hashtags under ZIN and create a symbol under TREFWOORD (e.g.: %!).
    If you now go to instagram and type %! under your description, this will automatically change to your strategically chosen long hashtags.

  3. Engage with your followers

Social media is a two-way channel. We use social media to connect with our audience, while they connect with us. If you don’t just focus on sales, but mainly on relationships, this will have a positive effect in the long run.

TIPS:
1. Respond positively or negatively to each individual response. Preferably with a sentence instead of just a thumbs up!
2. Import the best photos of your fans into your own feed, so that other fans are inspired to post as well. Mention them always with a caption.
3. Ask questions via instagram stories and on your posts
4. Instead of focusing on discounts, come up with fun give-aways & contests.
