MEET YENTE
Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?
Hey! My name is Yente and since August 2023 I can call myself a real Dotter, joining The Dot Society as a Digital Business Consultant. In June 2021 I graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven in Applied Economic Sciences. I have a strong interest in the (marketing) strategy of companies and really enjoy working as a team toward certain goals.
What led you to The Dot Society?
After some experience at consulting and marketing firms, I started looking for a job that offered even more of a combination between economic (data) analysis and creative marketing strategy. The Dot Society appealed to me because they were doing this in the fashion/lifestyle/food & beverages industry, which I was very interested in anyway. So when I saw on LinkedIn that they were looking for a new team member, I immediately jumped into action to write my cover letter. I was invited for an interview and a week later I got the call that I could start!
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Planning is my go-to way of working! Making lists of what I need to do helps me a lot to focus on one task at a time because then I don’t have to worry about forgetting other things since all my to-do’s are well documented.
THIS or THAT?
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
In my free time, I really like spending time with friends and family; having dinner, exploring new cities, or going to festivals together. To clear my head and get energized, I enjoy going to workout & spinning classes, and playing padel or tennis. I also love planning out the best route for my next trip based on tips I can find online.
Ultimate feel-good song?
At the moment I can’t get enough of “Dermot” by Fred again and “Overcome” by Nothing But Thieves, but this changes a lot because I play songs for days on repeat until I get tired of them and I discover something new again ;)
