Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?

Hi there! I am Yani, and a real Dotter since August 2023. Organised, ambitious, and eager to learn are three characteristics that describe me best. With an educational background in Strategic Communication and International Fashion Management, I gathered a good portion of knowledge to help fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and food & beverages brands to the next level. As a true fashion enthusiast with a passion for strategy and innovation, I am ready to grow in a creative, digital environment together with the team of Dotters!

What led you to The Dot Society?

Making a valuable contribution within a dynamic and ambitious team whose goal is to help others grow, DOT you want this? I, myself, sure did!

I must admit that the rock-solid and ambitious women’s team behind The Dot Society has been piquing my interest for a long time already. Their mission to give everyone the opportunity to grow, combined with an innovative and personal approach, is just one example of why I wanted to be a part of this team. When I saw that a spot became available, I immediately took the chance to launch my professional career at The Dot. Now that I can call myself a true Dotter, I can continue to immerse myself every day in my passion for fashion & lifestyle brands, strategy and all things digital.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

Whenever I have had a busy day, I like to curl up on my couch with a glass of red wine, a blanket, and my cat to read a good book. Escaping into the world of the characters, while hearing some purring sounds in the background, calms me down to get ready for the next day!

Must-read book?

As a true booknerd, I can give you tons of recommendations! For both fiction and non-fiction, I do have some favourites, but my all-time favourite and must-read book is A Little Life, written by Hanya Yanagihara. The novel is a fictional story that follows the life of four college classmates as they move to New York in search of fame and fortune. The brilliant writing kept me reading all night long, made me turn each page with curiosity, and gave me shivers over the joys and sorrows of each character. It is a heartbreaking story, but also one of the most beautiful books about friendship and humanity I ever read. I suggest keeping a box of tissues close to you when you pick this one up as your next read. 😉
