MEET JANNEKE

Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?

My name is Janneke, and at the age of 31 I am (if I remember correctly) the oldest team member at The Dot Society for the time being. I have already had several work experiences and I am completely ready for a new challenge as a new Dotter. I prefer to describe myself as cheerful, soft, open and a ‘doer’ rather than a ‘thinker’.

At The Dot Society I will be responsible for all HR-related issues, but also office management and organising networking events are right up my alley. At home you will find me mothering two little ones, Polly and Elvis, together with my love.

Favorite quote

“I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.”, thank you Pippi Longstocking. 5 years ago my boyfriend and I decided to buy a renovation project and do almost everything ourselves while we already lived there. Hence the 5 years. Pippi Longstocking has already helped me several times during this project and this is how I approach life and work. There is nothing we cannot do, you just have to believe in it yourself.

How do you prefer to start your day?

Cuddling with my children on the couch, while they each drink their milk and I enjoy a (still warm) coffee. When we don’t have to race and time is on our side.

THIS or THAT?

What do you like about working at The Dot Society?

There is great openness at The Dot Society. There is also room for everyone to grow and learn from our mistakes. The drive of everyone wanting to make every day, the best day is very motivating and contagious.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Eating, preferably in good company. I like to cook, but I also like to discover new culinary gems. I owe my eagerness to appreciate good food to my parents. This is something I really want to pass on to my own children. I want to teach them to enjoy life with great flavour.
