MEET ILKE

Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?

Hi! I am Ilke Dielis and I would describe myself as an enthusiastic, dynamic and driven person. My life quote? “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire”.

In January ‘22, I started as a Digital Business Consultant at The Dot Society. After obtaining a Master of Business Administration at KU Leuven, I additionally pursued a postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing, as this subject aligned with my primary interests. Looking back at my academic life, I can say that I acquired a valuable set of analytical and strategic marketing skills, which serve me well as a Dotter.

What do you like about working at The Dot Society?

The Dot Society pushes me to grow, learn and become the best version of myself from the get-go (#growbigorgohome). Moreover, as a young professional, the impressive customer portfolio appeals strongly to me. Being a meaningful sparring and business partner in the digital growth stories of clients is an exciting challenge every day. Above all, the passionate team of young, entrepreneurial Dotters makes The Dot Society a great place to work.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

Over the years, I learned that I perform optimally during the morning. I try to take this into account when drawing up my schedule for the day/week. I also work with structured to-do lists. It motivates me when I can gradually tick off the things on my list. Finally, in order to get the best out of myself during the working day, I plan enough me-time in the morning. My cup of tea and podcast are sacred to me :).

THIS or THAT?

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

This strongly depends on my mood. One day I love to binge-watch my favourite series for hours on end, the next day I like nothing more than wining & dining with family and friends. Occasionally, I enjoy partying until the early hours and channeling my inner Rihanna (#alltimefavourite).

Greatest life lesson someone ever told you?

My parents have been telling me since I was a little girl: “Ilke, to be happy, is to be able to be yourself”. You live your own life. Never pretend to be someone you’re not and don’t worry about what others think. You cannot control them or their thoughts. Love and be kind to yourself.
