MEET AXELLE

Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?

Hellooo, my name is Axelle Vermue. I’m a cheerful, cooperative person, who started working at The Dot Society in June 2020 as an intern.

Since October 2020 I can proudly call myself a full-time “Digital Business Consultant” or in other words; a real Dotter.

I graduated in International Business Management & Marketing and afterwards immersed myself in the world of Digital Marketing and Communication.

Before this job, I did an internship at Essentiel Antwerp where my passion for fashion and e-commerce continued to grow.

I love working at The Dot Society because?

Working with a funny, hard-working and motivated team 5 days a week makes me go to work with a big smile day in day out.

We are all so different, yet very similar, which makes working together more enjoyable. Besides spending time at work, we also exercise together every week which clears our heads after a hectic working day.

Besides working with the other dotters, I love coöperating with our clients and brainstorming about new strategies. Every business is different and challenging in its own way, which keeps it fun & challenging.

How do you prefer to start your day?

Every morning I drink a matcha latte while looking at my to-do list of the day. This calms my head and allows me to start the day prepared. To be completely ready for a new working day, I first cuddle my dog Millie before I leave.

THIS or THAT?

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

After a long day of brain activity & looking at my computer screen, I love to unwind while cooking and listening to my favourite songs. This takes my mind off work and prepares me for a cosy evening at home watching a series or film.

To recharge at the weekend, I love going out for brunch with my girlfriends or for a walk through the city with my boyfriend.

If you could spend one evening with a powerful woman, who would it be?

I would spend my evening with Nathalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter. She built an empire from a flat in Chelsea, to what is now one of the biggest online platforms for purchasing designer items online. Credited by many as changing the way designer fashion is retailed online, she has been described by The Observer as: “fashion’s favourite self-made success story”. Net-A-Porter’s customer-centric approach and cross-device thinking with their app & website show that you’ll gain much deeper insights into your customer’s path to purchase.
