Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?

Hi hi, I’m Charlotte, digital business consultant at The Dot Society, or say enthusiastic Dotter 😉 Since childhood I’ve been itching to be creative; from arts and crafts to instinctive cooking without a recipe. Today this expresses itself in a great passion for fashion and interior design.

This creativity was something I absolutely wanted to capitalize on in my professional career. That is why I chose the master’s program in ‘business administration (commercial management)’ at UGent. Curious and ambitious as I am, I further complemented this knowledge with a master’s in ‘marketing & digital transformation’ at Vlerick Business School, which allowed me to discover the ins and outs of the marketing world not only theoretically, but also ‘on the job’. All this completely steamrolled me to get started at The Dot Society.

What do you like about working for The Dot Society?

Working at The Dot Society is a real dream that became reality as here I was given the opportunity to further unleash my passion for fashion and creativity. I have been dreaming of working in fashion for years. As a child, I even wanted to become a fashion designer. Therefore, the clients of The Dot sound pretty familiar to me. Working here therefore feels more like an extension of my passion and hobby, rather than an obligation. Moreover, The Dot offers me the opportunity to combine both my creative, and analytical talent. You get the opportunity to think out-of-the box, but equally you can focus on more complex, strategic issues. And on top of that, I’m surrounded by an amazingly enthusiastic and passionate team, which gives you a very warm feeling and makes you feel extremely comfortable.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

I am quite a busy bee, though. After a busy day at work, the day is certainly not over for me and I like to make the most of the evening. I enjoy having a drink with friends or family to catch up and laugh. Or if you can’t find me in a bar, it will be on the tennis court. But even so, I enjoy a nice evening at home, where I love to cook for the people I love and then settle down on the couch with a good series.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

I have a huge weakness for dachshunds. No dachshund can pass by or I have spotted it, even to the obsessive level. 😉 If I could, I would take them all home with me. As such, my Instagram Reels are flooded with thousands of videos of these cute little dogs. It may not surprise you then that I have such an adorable little exemplar dribbling around at home, named Louis. Believe me, really adorable!

I love to make other people feel at ease and happy. That’s why I cultivate loving kindness as a daily practice in my life. I like to be there for others and I show that with little things. On down days, it allows me to be a bit of a rainbow in someone’s cloud.
