MEET MELISA
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I’m not working, I love spending my time doing things that help me relax and recharge. Recently, I became a pilates girl, one of my go-to activities to start the day feeling good! Next to that I really enjoy strolling through the city with my friends, going to a coffee bar (though I always go for matcha instead of coffee) and discovering new cosy spots for lunch or dinner. I also love to read a nice book and feel completely cozy!
What led you to The Dot Society?
After graduating, I was certain that I wanted to pursue a career in marketing, and combining that with the fashion industry has always been my ultimate dream. So, when I saw that The Dot Society was hiring for a junior position, I knew I had to apply! The idea of helping companies refine their digital strategies in the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries truly excites me, and I immediately felt that The Dot would be the perfect place for me to grow and make an impact. I’ll admit, the vibrant work atmosphere and dynamic team (full of amazing & ambitious women) I saw on TikTok definitely played a big role in convincing me as well!
How do you prefer to start your day?
I prefer to start my day by waking up early so I can enjoy some time for myself before diving into work. I always begin by making my bed, it’s a simple habit that sets a productive tone for the day. Then, I like to do some light stretching exercises to wake up my body, or if I’m feeling ambitious, I’ll take a morning Pilates class. After that, I’ll treat myself to a warm cup of matcha or green tea, which helps me ease into the day with focus and energy!
THIS or THAT?

Must-read book?
Too many to choose from! But the last one I read was “The Silent Patient” by Alex Michaelides. It’s a thriller/detective story, and I couldn’t put it down!
Favorite quote
I actually have two: “When something excites you and scares you at the same time, go full speed at it!” or “There’s no growth in a COMFORT zone and there’s no COMFORT in a GROWTH zone.” A lot of my life decisions lately were based on these ones!
