MEET AMÉLIE

Hi there! My name is Amélie and since recently, I can proudly call myself a Dotter, I’m a Digital Business Consultant at The Dot Society. I first completed an International bachelor in Marketing at UCLL, after which I packed my bags for Rome to dive into a Master in Digital Marketing at Rome Business School. At the same time, I deepened my analytical side through a Data Analysis program at the University of Cape Town, the perfect extra layer to keep strategy grounded in numbers.

Friends and family would describe me as extroverted and empathetic, always happy to listen (and usually ready with a joke, not all of them are equally funny but I’m committed). I love combining sharp thinking with a human touch, whether that’s in client work, brainstorms or lunchtime conversations.

How do you prefer to start your day?

With a 30-minute snooze marathon, followed by me negotiating with my alarm clock. Needless to say, I’m not a morning person. Then I drag myself to the kitchen, make a big cup of coffee and slowly turn into a functional human while getting ready. Lately I love putting on podcasts while getting ready.

THIS or THAT?

Must Read books?

Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom and The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

Both books really stayed with me. They read like simple, engaging stories almost as if you’re following a life path, yet you end up learning so much without even realizing it. They offer perspective on choices, time and what truly matters, without ever feeling heavy.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

After a busy day, I’ll either be in the gym lifting weights (usually not what people expect when they see me), or out with friends for a well-deserved drink. And if it’s a stay-at-home kind of evening, I love cooking meals from scratch and ending the day with Netflix. Balance, right?

Ultimate feel-good song?

Paper Planes by M.I.A. or some dub music.
