Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?

Hi! My name is Annelies, I am 26 years old and joined The Dot Society as a digital business consultant in January 2024. After studying Business Administration at KU Leuven, I started as a business operations consultant. My curiosity & interest in Digital Marketing led me to The Dot Society and here I am! Happy to join the team and to immerse myself in the dynamic world of digital marketing.

My friends would describe me as enthusiastic, caring, and a go-getter. I love getting people involved in my story and motivating them to do better, be ambitious, and make progress.

What your go-to productivity trick?

I 🫶🏼TO DO lists! Starting the day structured and with a clear goal works well for me. Crossing out completed tasks provides small moments of joy during the working day, hello endorphins! Moreover, at the end of the day, I leave with a satisfied feeling and I can completely leave work behind me.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

A balanced lifestyle is key for me to be the best version of myself. I enjoy a dinner party with friends as much as an evening of me-time on the couch. Exercise is also super important to feel good mentally & physically. So you can find me after work at the fitness. Here I prefer to take group lessons such as reformer pilates & full body burn!

My go-to music style to get in a good mood is anything from Studio 100. That could be a mix of Spring, Samson & Gert, K3, … you name it. Thanks to this music, I am catapulted back to my childhood and my youth as a dancer at Studio 100. So you can certainly find me every year at the Singalong concert in the Sportpaleis!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

When I’m not working, I’m probably on vacation. Most of all, I love discovering new countries and cultures. For me, the ideal holiday is a mix of relaxation, nature, exercise, coziness, and the social aspect. I also enjoy reading travel blogs in the period leading up to the trip and recording our route & overnight stays in this way. Next up in 2024: a road trip in Iceland. Tips? Let me know!
