MEET LEONIE
Introduce yourself and what you do in a few sentences?
Hi there! My name is Leonie Du Tré, the new Dotter in the team since September 2023. The traits that define me most accurately are perfectionist, ambitious, and perseverance. From the moment I started studying Commercial Sciences at Ghent University, I hoped one day to combine my economic knowledge with my passion for fashion. This wish came true when I was allowed to do my final internship at The Dot Society for 2.5 months. After this, Caroline and Céline gave me the great opportunity to continue working for them. I am very excited about shaping a bright future for The Dot Society with our fantastic team.
What’s your favorite fall trend?
The business look! A good blazer can go with any occasion! But also “the back to basic” trend. I really enjoy wearing special and unique pieces, but in my opinion, good basics are needed to highlight them.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
An actress! When I started acting as a child I quickly discovered my passion for it. Therefore, it seems super to turn your passion into your job. As of this year, I am returning to acting, so who knows what the future holds… ;-)
THIS or THAT?
How do you prefer to start your day?
Before heading to Antwerp, my favourite ritual involves enjoying a morning coffee while cuddling with my dog Eddy. On leisurely weekends, I love to sleep long, go for a walk and enjoy a delicious brunch with my friends or family.
Favorite quote
Geluk zit in de kleine dingen./Happiness lies in the little things. I truly believe that you can only make life more beautiful by paying enough attention to the little things in life that make you happy. For me, these include a beautiful sunset, a lovely breakfast on Sunday morning, a nice walk with the dog, fries in front of the TV on a rainy day, a nice outfit, an evening with friends or family or the smell of the sea.
Biggest dream
It is my big dream to start my own clothing brand one day. I have a strong admiration for Belgian fashion and look up to the powerful women who have founded their own belgian clothing brand. I sincerely hope to be a part of that one day.
